ATHERTON RESIDENCE
In collaboration with SHED Landscape Architecture
This park-like estate was one of the last undeveloped corner lots in Atherton. Designed by architect Jim Caldwell, the new single family house is surrounded by stately trees — coast live oak, redwood, cedar and palm — with new plantings of olive, dogwood, redbud, manzanita, palm and an interior courtyard of Himalayan birch — to help break the expanse of space into smaller “rooms”.
